Formed in Bristol in 1992 to supply a fast, efficient and flexible service supplying hygienic tubes and fittings to the food, dairy and brewing industries, Berkeley Stainless has grown steadily over the years, gradually increasing both the manufacturing capability and the stock held.
1998 saw the acquisition of Allenbrooke Alloys, additional products were added to the range further extending the ability to service a wider range of markets. 1998 also saw the opening of our second branch in Cannock, Staffordshire.
2000, we moved the Bristol HQ into new 12000 sq ft premises, and continued the expansion of the product range, and workshop.
2002 to 2004, in line with planned growth, we opened additional branches in Swansea, Luton and Manchester, confirming Berkeley Stainless position as a national merchant.
2005 saw the acquisition of Stainless Direct Ltd, along with moving of the original Cannock branch into new 4000 sq ft premises in Oldbury and a new state of the art computer system for the group.
2007 saw the acquisition of our sister company in Northampton, and the moving of the HQ and stores into 24000 sq ft premises, leaving the expanded workshop in the original 12000 sq ft building. It also saw the introduction of a new system for handling test certificates, ensuring quality material is supplied to you, the user.
Now operating a fleet of three Berkeley vehicles, to support the national carrier network, and with substantially increased stocks, makes us an ideal supplier for small to large contracts, end users and merchants.
