RJT Nitrile Joint Ring

The nitrile joint ring is a standard sealing component used in RJT and other hygienic unions. It provides a reliable, compressible seal between the male part and pressed liner when tightened by the union nut.


Material Properties

  • Composition: Nitrile rubber (NBR)
  • Temperature range: Typically suitable for -30°C to +120°C
  • Chemical resistance: Good resistance to oils, greases, and mild chemicals
  • Hardness: Usually supplied in 70–75 Shore A

Hygienic Function

  • Forms a tight seal to prevent leakage and contamination
  • Compatible with clean-in-place (CIP) systems
  • Available in metal detectable variants for enhanced food safety compliance
